IBM WebSphere V8 launching in June

By Wendy Sanacore
It’s rumored that June 17 is the day to look out for the next version of WebSphere to release according to the IBM website.
It has been said that WebSphere V8 will be available via electronic delivery by June 17, with media packs to be issued by July 22, 2011, however these dates have not yet been confirmed by IBM. This release is following the beta version of WebSphere V8 that released last year.
WebSphere V8 will be the first edition to fully support the latest enterprise Java standard, Java EE6. In addition, it will also be the first version to run IBM’s installation manager, which IBM has started packaging with much of its software.
WebSphere V8 is more of a fine tuned version as opposed to the complete overhaul that was version 7 at its release.
